Showcase

Morning all,
I have been totally blown away by the wonderful words of encouragement that you have all left for me in your comments.  Your gratitude and thoughtful words mean so much to me and reassure me that I am creating something worthwhile in my blog.  Thank you all so very much.
I am sorry to say but I have been unable to make a card for you today, still haven't been up to it.  However, it actually allows me time to Showcase some work by two lovely followers and also a picture of my latest creations using the border dies (hope I am not boring you with my playing).

So without further ado, here we go..............
A small collection  of cards by Jenny L.

This following picture is the box for the above Handbag card
Aren't they just amazing.  A real collection of beautiful, creative designs and shapes.  Thanks for sharing with us again Jenny.  I don't like to choose favourites when people show me their work,  but I am so drawn to the mint butterfly card. The flowers, again, are stunning and the overall design is perfect.
Last from Jenny, we have two pictures of some astounding jewellery, all handmade by Jenny's crafty sister.  Wow, talent really runs in the family, these are wonderfully delicate and so intricate. Please pass on our thanks to your sister Jenny.

Last, but definitely not least, I have a card to show you from Christine Hussey

This is beautiful Christine, everything about it is gorgeous and the layout is perfect.  That is a beautiful swirl diecut you have used.  As I said to Jenny, thank you so much for sharing your creation with us.  It is lovely to see your craftsmanship.

Ok guys that's almost it.  The only thing I would like to show you now is something I managed to complete the other day before I became too poorly.  New shapes with the border dies!
I have, as yet, only managed to do this effect with Parisian Accents and Vintage Lace Accents border dies.

Playing around with the dies like this has really opened my eyes to their versatility.  Even though I always look for new ways to use my dies, I will be looking even harder from now on.   These are so pretty, I can't wait to find the right card to use them on.  So keep your eyes open you may be seeing them pretty soon.
Bye for now.  Linda xx

  1. Hi Linda,
thank you so much for showing mine and my sisters work. You are a very kind lady. The first picture is actually the box for the second card with the handbag on. I just thought I would make that clear as I did not mention it to you. Now to Christine's lovely creation, wow that's beautiful, and the colours are really fab too. Linda I think those ideas with the dies is superb I must have a go at that on the wedding cards, sadly I have only the parisian die. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas. Have a great crafty day everyone.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  2. Hi Linda, such a lovely idea to show the work of other followers, it is always inspiring to see. I've just had a thought, " A die bank " , I am fortunate that I now have a few sets of dies and would be happy to cut some pieces for other followers. What do you think? Is it possible to have a die cut share scheme. It would only cost a bit for postage and some card and the recipient could make a small donation to a charity, so no money need be involved. Anyway it's is just a thought at this time. Have a cracking day, best wishes Lesley xx

  7. Gosh Linda I'm just in awe at the beautiful creations, your are all such talented people, thank you so much for showcasing them. I have the parisian dies, one of the first sets I had in a multi pack, I will definitely be having a practice to try to do what you have done with it! Jenny L, I just adore the Wedding Cake one, I would really love to create that, as my daughter gets married at the end of next month, but it looks far too advanced for me, how did you do that, it's just amazing? Christine, such beautiful dies, I think I only have the anemone one (if it is that one for the flower?) it makes me want to buy more, but I need to get learning with the ones I have first! Like they say you have to walk before you can run ha ha! Sorry I have waffled on, hope your sore throat is better, many thanks for your kind email. Take care Alison :)

  9. Morning Linda, thank you so much for showcasing my card and thank you Jenny for sending yours to Linda. They are absolutely fabulous you are very talented and have great imagination, your recipients will be blown away. Your sister's jewellery is stunning such detail and I love the colour.

Alison, yes it is the anemone die I used, I think it is such a pretty die.

Linda, keep playing with your dies you have such vision with them and extending them like you have is just awesome. What you have achieved here shows just how lacy Sue's dies are (still on my 'to get' list - smiles).

Hope your throat improves quickly and you are having a better day!

Love & hugs Christine H xx
