Final showcase for the week

Welcome back all,
First I want to say thank you so much for showing your support for Christine (Hussey).  I know I have appreciated your visits to my blog but I am certain that Christine has appreciated your comments much more.  You have been so kind leaving her wonderful comments and I think she would want me to say a BIG thank you from her also.

For all the non-bloggers out there
Don't forget I am willing to show the work of any non-bloggers as long as you email me the pictures and give me permission to crop them to fit if I need to.

Anyway, today is the last day for showcasing this week, so without further ado, her is the third and final card of this showcase.  I hope you like it and can, again, pass on your opinions and support.

How adorable is this?!
I love that the cutout on the card and the diecut motif match perfectly.  So effective and so professional.   Anyone would think they had been cut using matching dies...... hey!, now that's an idea for Spellbinders.   Wouldn't it be great if we could cut out the edges of our card base to match the motif dies we already owned.  Maybe they should start making edgeabilities in coordinating styles? Ummmm........ anyway, I digress, back to the card.

Isn't this decoupage just lovely.  A very pretty image, so cheerful and fun too;  and those little dogs are so darn cute.
I don't know about you but I love decoupage whether it be diecut or my favourite, fussy cutting.  I have been known to sit for ages in front of the TV cutting out, putting the bits into ziplock bags or the clear card bags until I need them.  I even make some up with silicon glue ahead of time and bag them up ready to be used at short notice.  This is so handy when you want something pretty and well finished but only have a short time to complete the whole card.
So what do you think, is this the prettiest of the three cards Christine made, or did you prefer that cute and very smug  (oh, I'm only teasing) little pony of yesterday...... or maybe you are still drawn to the sweet angelic face of the girl on the Thirteenth Birthday card?    I think every card has its merits; that smug pony is still making me giggle, the angelic girl in pink is just dreamy and the adorable puppies trailing adoringly after the girl with the ribbons are making me oooh and aaaahh like a new mum with her baby.  So could I choose a favourite?  Well actually Yes!........... but I'm not telling you. LOL!!!  You should by now have guessed which it is.
Well, that's it for another day.  I am hoping to have a card and some crochet for you tomorrow, but it all depends on how the dog sitting goes.  My daughter is off to Mardi Gras and  I am having her two rather large, but adorable dogs for the day (and probably the night).
Whatever you are up to I hope you find time to do a little crafting or at least find time to have a bit of 'ME' time.  Take care all.
Regards Linda xx

Another Showcase

Good morning all, I hope your day has begun in a good way for you.  This is a short post today but just as important.  It is a Showcase post and it is another card.........

 by Christine Hussey.

This is Violet and pony and aren't they just the sweetest.  She really loves that pony and boy does he know it.... look at that happy grin on his face!!  He looks like the cat that had the cream doesn't he. lol!   Christine has used MME Lost & Found paper in the background and Spellbinders scalloped circle die for the main image and matt.  The flowers are from WOC I do believe.  Hopefully Christine will fill us in with any details I have missed.

A gorgeous card and so beautifully laid out.  Thank you so much Christine for letting me show more of your creations.  You have been working really hard and I am honoured to be able to show them to everyone.
I am off now to try and get my latest Crochet Lace patterns written up so I can put them on the blog. One of my followers and dear friend has been waiting an age for me to finish these patterns (I am fine at designing patterns and crocheting them, but writing them down......... that's when I usually fail).  I have just one left to do, so keep your fingers crossed!
Have a wonderful day all, whatever you are up to today.
Regards Linda xx

A little of me and a Showcase too

Morning all,
I made this card using one of my favourite paper pads.  It is from My Minds Eye Lost & Found series, called Market Street.  I love the peachy tones with soft greens and lots of scripted papers too.
The plaid one shown here is actually glittered, which you can just see if you zoom in.   (For newbies to blogland, to zoom in just right click on the picture, open in new tab, in that tab when you hover over picture a zoom tool (cross) should appear, click to see in maximum size).
The button and dragonfly are part of the fabulous Fimo pieces that Linda W. sent to me; they coordinate beautifully.  I used some 8 & 10mm half pearls from Ebay to add a little glamour.  They are not self adhesive, but I prefer them that way.  I just put a dab of glue where I want them and drop them on, its easy and you can move them a little before they become fully set.  I don't know about you but whenever I use something self adhesive, you can bet your bottom dollar I will drop it in the wrong place and then almost cry because I cannot adjust it.  One of those....AAAARRRGGGHHHH... moments, lol!

I decorated the inside to coordinate too, but added a diecut flower (one layer of Spellbinders Rose) with a brad for less bulk.  The twine was originally natural so I dyed it to match using an antique pink Promarker.

Here you can see the dimension of the layers and embellishments and view the inside and outside together.

I am really happy with how this card turned out and although I couldn't do the 'Happy dance', I did grin alot for a while (if I had been a bird at the time, I'd have been a peacock for sure, strutting around all proud and a little smug ...lol!!)
So that is my card for today.   Now I have a card from a very special lady, Christine Hussey.   Christine has sent me a few cards to show and I will showcase them over the week, so please keep an eye out for them.  She doesn't have her own blog and therefore I would love it if you could give her a shout out and let her know what you think.

This is a 13th Birthday card that Christine made, isn't it just lovely.  It's perfect for a teenage girl.
I adore the soft mottled background and those flowers are just gorgeous.  I loved all the pictures Christine sent me of her cards, but this one did find a soft spot, it has to be my favourite.  You can decide for yourselves as the week goes on.
Well that's it for today.  I hope you all have a great day.  I am still busy, busy (lots of sewing today), but I will sit down and visit all the blogs I have missed.  Take care.
Regards Linda xx

Showcase

Good morning dear blog friends.
I am sorry but I didn't manage to get to the craftroom again.  My grandson is full of beans and I get so tired that when he leaves with mum or dad, I normally sit on the sofa and nod off within 10mins...LOL!
Anyway, it is not a waste of another day, I have some beautiful cards to show you that were sent to me some time ago.  I was waiting for the right time to showcase them and then, unfortunately, I became ill and they have sat on my laptop just waiting.
The lovely Christine Harrop created these  cards and I think you will all agree with me she definitely has an eye for layout and a lovely style indeed.

No. 1 is made using the largest motif from the Damask Motifs and Accents sets of Spellbinders dies.  This is such a delicate and pretty card.   This is a 'Me' card.

No.2 is (I believe) Labels one with Martha Stewart punch for the borders.   The background looks like the new M-bossibilities design, but I am not sure.  Christine you will have to help us here, is it letterpress effect with inks or a printed paper.  Whichever, it is beautiful.

No.3 is ........just gorgeous!!  Forget which dies have been used, I just love the whole thing.... and what a fabulous colour.  Christine this is so elegant and the delicacy of the backing paper is beautiful and perfect for a Wedding Anniversary.

No.4 is a CAS (clean & simple) card and what a stunner it is.  I love the flourish diecut used here, it is also very delicate and in no way overpowers the design or layout.

All in all I think you will agree, Christine has a created four different cards that show us the versatility of using diecuts.  They don't always have to be big central pieces, sometimes delicate smaller pieces are ample.
Thank you Christine, for letting me showcase your work.  It has been a pleasure and a privilege to do so.  I hope you will let me show more for you as you find time to send them.
Well that's it today, except again, to say a big THANK YOU to everyone for all the words of comfort and best wishes, I have been completed blown away by the amount of care shown to me and it still brings a tear to my eye.  You are all so truly generous of spirit.
Tomorrow I hope (again) to have a card for you but I will definitely have two wonderful cards to show you that I received in the post yesterday (Carole and Jenny you are stars and the cards are amazing!!  They are already up in the craftroom on my wall of fame.)
Have a good day dearest blog friends.  Keep smiling and keep crafting.
Hugs and best wishes Linda xx

Monday morning is here again

Good Monday Morning to you all,
Thank you all again for the wonderful comments you have left for me recently.  I was thrilled to see that you enjoyed the CAS cards as much as I enjoyed making them.
Well, tidying is underway at home, but there is a long way to go to make it easier for me yet.  I am confident we will get there.   One good thing came out of my need to tidy and that is that my daughter ended up with 3pairs of Jeans that I was going to give to charity.  Jeans are a no-no for someone with my spinal problems as they put too much pressure on the back, so I had a few pairs that were like new just sat in the wardrobe.  I used to be alot slimmer than I am now so they were small enough to fit my daughter, who is 6ft and slim.  I was a bit green for approx ten seconds and then my sensibility took over and I was just glad she could make use of them (luckily she and I like similar jeans -bootcut or flared). LOL!!
I am sorry to say, I have been too busy to make a card to show today, but it is not a bad thing as it gives me the opportunity to do a Showcase instead.

Todays Showcase is the lovely, Christine Hussey and she has created some stunners;  take a look:-

This is fabulous and I think with snowflakes in the corners it would make a wonderful Christmas card.  The embossed background really sets off the white diecuts and adds lots of lovely texture.

This is so unusual in its colour scheme and very modern.  I adore the  Spellbinders flower centers used as flowers themselves, they are just the right size for this layout and everything about it says classy!

A very stylish inside to the card and using the 'waste' pieces from the border diecuts is inspired and I think the shapes give the card a Moroccan feel (especially with these colours).

I fell in love with this one the instant I downloaded it as Christine has used one of my favourite manufacturers,  My Minds Eye.  This particular paper is from one of my all time favourite sets by MME too.  Plus, anything with butterflies on and I am happy.

Well there you have it, some beautiful cards with a variety of styles and colour schemes.  I think you will agree with me, Christine has done a wonderful job with these and I, for one, can't wait to see what comes next.

Thank you so much Christine for letting me showcase these on my blog.   I hope you have enjoyed seeing them here.  Maybe one day you could do a blog of your own and then we can all come and follow you!
Have a great day all.  Hugs Linda xx

Mondays Quote & a Showcase

Well as you can tell, Monday's Quotation is a little late.  I was so busy Monday with the grandson and he didn't have a long nap so I was unable to get to my laptop to post it.  Never mind, they say a change is as good as a rest so I will do it today instead.   Also, the lovely Jenny has sent me a picture of a recent card that she made using the border technique I showed you last month and I wanted to let you see it to;  so let's get started.
The quotation I have for you today is one of several that the smashing Christine Harrop sent to me.  I have been saving them to use for a special day and today is as special as any in my book; we are after all, alive!!

Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle,
and the life of a candle will not be shortened.
Happiness never decreases by being shared.
                                                                     Buddha

and as Aristotle said

Happiness depends upon ourselves.

Thank you for sharing some of your favourite quotations with me Christine, it's lovely to see what words inspire others too.
Now to Jenny's card.

So much work has gone into this flamboyant but elegant creation, making it a beautiful keepsake that will be adored for many, many years to come.
Jenny used my 'Grown Border' technique that I posted for you to see on June 22nd, but she has adapted it and I think it looks even better than my attempt.  If you look closely you will see that Jenny has linked the 'arms' at the bottom of the border diecut with the top of the border on the previous row.  This is very effective and an easier way to join them too.
The K card or Star card can take alot longer to make, but it still is a top favourite among crafters as it allows you to be very creative, even going as far as to create totally different 'scenes' within each section.   I love the way you have used different apertures in your card Jenny and have 'recycled' the waste bits from the Parisian diecuts to make the fancy shapes all the way around the edges of them.  Totally inspired and a very creative card indeed.  Thank you again for letting us see your lovely work.

Thats it for today, I am off for a couple of hours sleep now as I have been up all night again.  I just hope this rain has eased by the time I wake because it has gotten really heavy again and the wind is picking up too.
I do hope the weather is nicer where you are and you all have a good day.
I have a card with something a bit different tomorrow;  Glossy accents & Microbeads is all I will say for now.  Catch you soon Linda xx

Showcase

Morning all,
I have been totally blown away by the wonderful words of encouragement that you have all left for me in your comments.  Your gratitude and thoughtful words mean so much to me and reassure me that I am creating something worthwhile in my blog.  Thank you all so very much.
I am sorry to say but I have been unable to make a card for you today, still haven't been up to it.  However, it actually allows me time to Showcase some work by two lovely followers and also a picture of my latest creations using the border dies (hope I am not boring you with my playing).

So without further ado, here we go..............
A small collection  of cards by Jenny L.

This following picture is the box for the above Handbag card
Aren't they just amazing.  A real collection of beautiful, creative designs and shapes.  Thanks for sharing with us again Jenny.  I don't like to choose favourites when people show me their work,  but I am so drawn to the mint butterfly card. The flowers, again, are stunning and the overall design is perfect.
Last from Jenny, we have two pictures of some astounding jewellery, all handmade by Jenny's crafty sister.  Wow, talent really runs in the family, these are wonderfully delicate and so intricate. Please pass on our thanks to your sister Jenny.

Last, but definitely not least, I have a card to show you from Christine Hussey

This is beautiful Christine, everything about it is gorgeous and the layout is perfect.  That is a beautiful swirl diecut you have used.  As I said to Jenny, thank you so much for sharing your creation with us.  It is lovely to see your craftsmanship.

Ok guys that's almost it.  The only thing I would like to show you now is something I managed to complete the other day before I became too poorly.  New shapes with the border dies!
I have, as yet, only managed to do this effect with Parisian Accents and Vintage Lace Accents border dies.

Playing around with the dies like this has really opened my eyes to their versatility.  Even though I always look for new ways to use my dies, I will be looking even harder from now on.   These are so pretty, I can't wait to find the right card to use them on.  So keep your eyes open you may be seeing them pretty soon.
Bye for now.  Linda xx

Showcase

Hi there my dear blog friends,
I am not very good at the moment with a bad throat so I haven't been up to making a card. However it gives me the opportunity to do a Showcase.  I hope to make something later for tomorrows post.
So here we have it, another Showcase for another lovely card by one of the Non-blogger followers.
It is a beautiful creation in girlie pink and white using the fabulous Spellbinders Parisian die sets.

Thank you Jenny for sharing this with me and also for allowing me to show another of your cards on the blog.

I adore the ribbon you have used and the beautiful pearl embellishment, what a fabulous finish to a stunning card.

Ok that's it for now.  Hopefully I will  be back soon with a card of my own to share.
I hope you are all well today.  Wasn't it wonderful to see some sun yesterday?  I hope you got to see it where you live too, it was lovely!
Big hugs Linda xx

Update to todays post

Hi all,
Thank you all for taking the time to visit and leave such lovely comments for Jenny's card today, you really are such lovely sharing and caring people and it means the world to me and I am certain to Jenny too.
Well Jenny has sent me a picture of the box she made for her lovely 90th card and I thought you would like to see it as it completes her lovely work  (She also sent me another card to show you, but I am going to save that for another Showcase day).

Thank you so much for sharing Jenny and keep up the crafty work it is lovely.  By the way, your Rose is stunning and looks so realistic!!
I hope you have all managed to have a good day despite this awful, awful weather.
Bye for now Linda xx

Showcase only for today

Good morning,
I am sorry but todays post is very short because I am so very tired that I must get some rest.
However, although it is short I do still have a card for you, it just happens not to be one of my own creations.
Todays card is another beautiful creation by the lovely Jenny L and here it is in all its glory:-

Isn't this just divine?  I was only just saying to Jenny in my email, that I don't use Lemon at all now as I just don't get on with it, but after seeing how pretty this looks I think I am going to have to try some yellows for myself.
One thing that makes this card extra special for me is the use of the Spellbinders Parisian dies, they are still one of my all time favourites.  They are so lovely and feminine without being over the top.  However, if you want flamboyant, they layer up easily to create a deeper frilly edge, just as Jenny has done here with the border die.

Have you ever attacked your diecuts with the scissors? Sounds vicious doesn't it, but I love to do this as it can often provide a different look and yet stay as beautiful.   I hope you'll forgive me Jenny, but I have played around with your image to give you an idea of what I mean (as I am not very good as describing things these days).  See what you think but please excuse the patches, it was all done very quickly:-

WITH

WITHOUT

Well that's it for today guys.  I hope to be doing either a Case card for tomorrow or a set of notelets as an idea for a Christmas present.  Again, it may be early to mention that word to some of you, but for me I must start soon or I will not have enough time to handcraft those special items for the special people in my life.  I also have another altered box on the back burner.  This one is a larger wooden box that I bought extra cheap in a sale.  I want to turn it into a shabby chic or steampunk storage box.  A few ideas to play with, lets see how I get on.
Have a wonderful day today all.  I will try to catch up with all the blogs tomorrow and see what everyone has been up to.  Hugs and big thanks to you all for sticking with me.   Linda xx

PS..  I just remembered I have to post the winners of the papers, so I will be back this evening before 8pm with the Winners names.  Good luck all.

Showcase

Today I am going to do two posts, this first one is to showcase some lovely creations by two lovely followers, Christine and Jenny.  Both of these ladies are non-bloggers and per my request they have willingly sent me a couple of pictures to show one of their creations on the blog.  Thank you so much girls, I really have enjoyed seeing your work and reading your lovely emails.

Well the first one is from Christine Hussey and it is a beautiful card in shades of lilac using the adorable Sarah Kay images.  I don't think I have ever seen anything Sarah Kay and disliked it.  They are always, cute, well designed and useable and Christine has proved that with this fabulous card.  I adore the lovely flowers and that beautiful big scalloped diecut.

Well the next gorgeous card is from Jenny Lawrence, she has done a cascade of filigree flowers in shades of Teal & aqua blue on a gorgeous embossed background of white.  I don't think this is a Spellbinders embossing folder used here, as I don't recognise it.  Whatever make it is it is really pretty and very effective indeed.  Love the plaited ribbon and bow here too!

Again, thank you both for allowing me to Showcase your work, I do so love to see everyones creations. I am certain that everyone will enjoy seeing them as much as I have.

Ok, that is it for this morning.  I have another post at 12noon today with some more storage ideas and also a little tip for a bit of recycling.
Have a dry day all and be happy.  Hugs Linda xx

Showcase

Well here we are again.  Todays post is a shorter one but I have two beautiful cards that I would like to share with you made by two kind and talented crafters.
This first card is by Dena Concienne;  if you remember, she is the designer of the CASE study card from yesterday's post.   I was lucky enough to receive one of Dena's cards as a thank you when I was quite a newbie to blogland and long before I had even started my own blog.   If you managed to pop over to see her card yesterday and took a look around her archives, you will have noticed just how talented Dena is.  Her colouring is truly lovely and she has a wonderful eye for colour and design.  Well enough of the idolising, here is the lovely card I received.  Didn't it travel well!! (Dena is from the USA).

Isn't that image just the cutest.  If I was sat on a swing with my dogs about me Millie would be behind me chasing it back and forth and Gypsy would be trying to get on my lap or just yapping at me to get my attention!

Ok, on to the second lovely card.  I received it just two days ago and boy did it cheer me up when it came through the letterbox!   This one is by our Sue (Bearhouse), isn't it just fabulous.

Another stunning image and so softly coloured too.  I adore the embossed frame on this card, it is so delicate but very dramatic and gives the card that bit of something special, don't you think?

Thank you so much to both of you for these beautiful cards, I will treasure them both. They have pride of place in my craftroom, sharing their own board on the wall above my sewing machine!!

Before I go today I would just like to answer a few queries about my great-nephew, baby Lee.  I haven't received any news for a couple of days, but that is good.  My sister-in-law promised me that no news was to be taken exactly as the saying goes, good news.  She would only call me if he took a turn for the worst.  Other than that we would keep up to date weekly, so the little fella must be quite strong and fighting hard, bless him.  She, my brother and their daughter were blown away by the amount of queries about Lee and have expressed their profound gratitude for all the thoughts and prayers sent his way.  From me too, I thank you very, very much.
For tomorrow I am going to try to finish a card for the boys,  but then again, it may end up being a get well soon card as I actually need both in the next couple of days ......... I wonder who (or to be grammatically correct, which) will win?  Hey, who knows maybe I 'll have a fab crafting afternoon and do two cards; Jake (my grandson) is only with me till approx 2.30pm.    Yea and pigs might fly................. keep looking up in the sky you just never know ........ LOL!!
Well, I hope you all have a good day, maybe even a bright and sunny day;  all we can do is hope.  Take care everyone and again, thank you very much for your fabulous words of praise for yesterdays card, they were most gratefully received.
Bye for now.   Linda xx

Two Communion cards

Good morning all,
Today I have something a little different again.  Two cards that were not created by me but by my niece and her son.  My niece asked if they could come over and make cards for her daughters Communion on Sunday and so I spent all yesterday evening teaching them the basics including using the Grand Caliber.  Do they realise how priviledged they were I wonder: my GC is my pride and joy and is used so often now, I am close to having conversation with her...lol!  Yes, she is female, she is a thing of beauty afterall :)
Anyway, Mum got into the colouring and card making and my great nephew sat happily with the GC diecutting the items for the cards and also some butterflies and flower petals for the cake topper.  He did really well bless him and thoroughly enjoyed himself (my great nephew has some learning difficulties and so it was wonderful to see him creating so happily).   Here are the cards;  I think you will be impressed with them as they are, afterall, a first ever attempt.  I just wish I had been this good when I first started.

A vellum butterfly was placed underneath the paper butterly to give it more dimension and movement.

Recipe:-
Pink Petticoat papers, Spellbinders dies:- Labels 20, Tags 1&2 and Fanciful Flight.  Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers

I am still working on the cake topper, infact I think I will be working on it all day today, but I will do my best to complete it in time to photograph it for tomorrows post.  I have been quite nervous about doing all this as I am not a Catholic and, therefore, know nothing about First Communion.  All I know is that my great niece is very excited and it must be right for her and her family.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing something from a 'newbie'.  Take care and have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you to those who have entered their Bookmarks into the challenge already, they look absolutely fabulous (no pun intended!)   Hugs Linda

Showcase & My Quotation of the Week

Good morning
I don't know about you but I am really getting fed up of hearing about drought and yet seeing nothing but rain.  Do you think we will have had enough water soon for the 'drought' condition to be over.  Mind you that's a silly thought really isn't it, because it's not like we have a tap to turn off the rain or can shout loud enough to say 'Ok, thats enough, you can turn it off now!'  lol...!
As I was not able to post my quotation on Monday this week, I have decided to do it today before my Showcase and with my moan about the rain, I think it very appropriate.  It is

Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness
has never danced in the rain!
(Author unknown)

Last week I was lucky enough to Showcase the lovely creations of Christine Harrop, one of my lovely followers. Well, this week again, I have been given permission to show some of the lovely cards created by another follower and her name is Sue (Bearhouse). The first card I would like you to see is one that Sue entered into the Joanna Sheen challenge and that is where I first came to know of Sue and her lovely cards. You can imagine how nice it was when she later became a follower of my blog. Thank you Sue. Here is that aforementioned card. It is gorgeous and I love it.

When Sue leaves a comment for me on the posts here, the picture of a cute little black kitty cat is always displayed and not one of Sue herself. Well the cutey is called Milton and he was adopted by Sue and her family from the Cats Protection League, along with another cat called Claude. I think this card is probably made with one of the little moggies in mind, don't you think?!

Ok, well onto the next cards I would like to show you, two absolutely gorgeous Christmas cards. Now don't shout through the screen at me.........., please!! I know it was only Christmas a few months ago and most of us are all still recovering from the expense, but we all know that alot of crafters start their next year's batch of cards as soon as they have cleared away the decorations. So you see, these two cards are not so out of place really. The truth of the matter is, Sue is really good at colouring and I just wanted to show you how good while making my blog look good ...LOL!!!! At least someone on here now has the natural aptitude with a colouring medium. OOOO, that hurt..... am I supposed to abuse my own talents, I thought that job was yours!! ha ha ha.

Here they are:-

Here two more of Sue's cards.  I think you can see that she loves diversity and is as good at masculine cards as she is the feminine and Christmas ones.

To finish off today, I would like you to see two cards created by Sue's daughter Emily.  I am not sure exactly what age Emily is, but I believe she is about 12.  Her cards are lovely and I think she is going to follow her mum for talent don't you agree?

Thank you to both Sue and Emily for allowing me to share their wonderful creations.  I hope that everyone has enjoyed my Showcase this week and if anyone else has something they would like me to show please contact me via email (see my profile alongside my picture).
I hope the weather stays dry with you today, if not I hope you get to 'dance in the rain'.   Enjoy yourselves
Thank you for stopping by again today.  Regards always Linda xx

Showcase - A non-bloggers creations

Hi all,
I am sorry I couldn't put out a post yesterday, but I was having a bit of a rough time.  I am having a better day today so thought I would so something a little different again.  I am trying lots of different things at the moment as I try to find the right groove for my blog.  The way it's going I think it will always stay a bit of this and a bit of that.  We will have to see, who knows it may be fun that way.

Ok, so what is Showcase about, well today it's about a lovely lady who became a follower of my blog and liked it enough to not only come back again but also to send me some of her work.
Her name is Christine Harrop
and here are some of her 'Box Cards'.

So what do you think, aren't they elegant and stylish?  Thank you so much Christine for sharing them with me and for allowing me to showcase them here on my blog.  I adore the simplicity of the design and the focus being on the lovely stamped verse.
I think these would be perfect with stands attached to the back for use on a table top or with wall hangers so they could become instant wall art for the receiver (of course Christine, you may have done that already).  This idea has vast appeal and can be adapted in so many ways.  A gift and card in one that could be perfect for the 'one who has everything' or for that one person who is 'always hard to buy for'.   What an inexpensive way to alter you home decor too.  Everytime you fancy a change: a different colour or verse for example,  just get out your crafting stash and design to suit.  Interchanging and recreating whenever you need a make-over but can't afford the drapes (so to speak!)
Well I hope you like Christines creations and enjoyed having something new and different to view.  Maybe you have something you are proud of  that you would like showcased here, if so email me and I will try to put yours on the next one.  Don't forget it doesn't have to be just a card, it could be an altered item, a scrapbook page, a tag or a picture; as long as it's handcrafted by you, or even your family, then it will be considered.  And don't forget to email me your quotes too if you would like them considered for my Monday Quote Day posts.
Bye for now but don't forget to pop by again tomorrow as I have another bookmark style for you and this one has two ways to use it too.
Have a great day and Smile 'cos the chances are someone will smile back at you!
Linda x

Ps  I have a Candy post at 12noon, I think it's a good one and some of you will be pleased I am almost certain.............so pop by if you can.  Big hugs x
