Good morning dear blog friends.
I am sorry but I didn't manage to get to the craftroom again. My grandson is full of beans and I get so tired that when he leaves with mum or dad, I normally sit on the sofa and nod off within 10mins...LOL!
Anyway, it is not a waste of another day, I have some beautiful cards to show you that were sent to me some time ago. I was waiting for the right time to showcase them and then, unfortunately, I became ill and they have sat on my laptop just waiting.
The lovely Christine Harrop created these cards and I think you will all agree with me she definitely has an eye for layout and a lovely style indeed.
No. 1 is made using the largest motif from the Damask Motifs and Accents sets of Spellbinders dies. This is such a delicate and pretty card. This is a 'Me' card.
No.2 is (I believe) Labels one with Martha Stewart punch for the borders. The background looks like the new M-bossibilities design, but I am not sure. Christine you will have to help us here, is it letterpress effect with inks or a printed paper. Whichever, it is beautiful.
No.3 is ........just gorgeous!! Forget which dies have been used, I just love the whole thing.... and what a fabulous colour. Christine this is so elegant and the delicacy of the backing paper is beautiful and perfect for a Wedding Anniversary.
No.4 is a CAS (clean & simple) card and what a stunner it is. I love the flourish diecut used here, it is also very delicate and in no way overpowers the design or layout.
All in all I think you will agree, Christine has a created four different cards that show us the versatility of using diecuts. They don't always have to be big central pieces, sometimes delicate smaller pieces are ample.
Thank you Christine, for letting me showcase your work. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to do so. I hope you will let me show more for you as you find time to send them.
Well that's it today, except again, to say a big THANK YOU to everyone for all the words of comfort and best wishes, I have been completed blown away by the amount of care shown to me and it still brings a tear to my eye. You are all so truly generous of spirit.
Tomorrow I hope (again) to have a card for you but I will definitely have two wonderful cards to show you that I received in the post yesterday (Carole and Jenny you are stars and the cards are amazing!! They are already up in the craftroom on my wall of fame.)
Have a good day dearest blog friends. Keep smiling and keep crafting.
Hugs and best wishes Linda xx

Nice day, Sabine
Hi Linda. I hope you are keeping well although it sounds like your little grandson makes you feel the same way as Charlie makes me feel. Gotta love them though. These cards are beautiful what a talented lady Christine is. Well I hope you have a good day today and maybe get a little crafty time.

Hi Linda,
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting Christine's cards - they are lovely. My favourite is the first one - so pretty.x
Hi Linda, thank you for sharing Christine's amazing cards...if I had to choose it would be the first one, but I don't want to because they are all beautiful...take care, hugs Carole Z X
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteThank you for showing my cards. You are so kind to the non-bloggers of your following!
The background of card 2 was from the Confetti range from Craftwork Cards which I have had for ever! I used the same range in a different colourway for card 3, together with the largest floral ovals die and a Parisian motifs corner. I cut out the cntre so I didn't totally obscure the lace. (I couldn't find the right shade so I used white and dipped it in coffee!)
I hope you are feeling stronger daily Linda. Keep on cuddling that little man of yours - the best therapy of all I reckon, even if he does tire you out!
With love and thanks from Christine x
Hi Linda,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for showing us Christine's stunning cards. The are all gorgeous, I love the designs and colours.
I hope you have a good day
Hugs Sue
Hi Linda,
ReplyDeletewell what stunning cards of Christine's. I love every one of them. You are right she does have an eye for design. It's amazing how we all have different ideas on the layout of a card. Then that's what makes hand made cards so unique.
I know what your saying about your grandson when my great granddaughters go home I sit and fall asleep for forty winks. Thankfully I only have them once a week, but just love having them though. My Mum always did the same for me as I worked so I am glad to do the same for mine. As I expect you are Linda and maybe one or two other blog friends out there. Have a great crafty day everyone.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Hi Linda
ReplyDeleteGood to find you back on your blog.
The cards from Christine are really pretty and the Memory Box swirl die used in No.4 is probably one of the most used dies I have, it's very versatile and is very effective wherever you use it.
Take care

ReplyDeleteHi Linda, Christine's cards are absolutely stunning, such talent! I too am drawn to the first card but they are all wonderful designs and would take pride of place in any home.
ReplyDeleteKnow what you mean about grandchildren tiring you out, when mine go home it takes me 24 hours to recover (lol) but I love it!
Hope each day is getting easier for you and continue to take care of yourself.
Love & hugs Christine H xx
Hi Linda, remember to rest cos it takes a long time to get over illness and stressful events..Thanks for showing us these cards. They are all stunning, although my favourite has to be no 1...Take care...xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Linda - these cards are all beautiful - I think no. 4 would be my favourite (if I really really had to choose!).

PS I have put a pic on my blog as you requested - now you can LOL!!! Have a giggle on me.
Hi Linda, thanks for your comment on my blog. I love these delicate cards you have here today! I too have found many friends in this blogging thing we do! When I was going through the breast cancer it was these people who helped keep me sane much more so than the local friends and family who didn't know what to say around me! I don't often comment, but I do stop by regularly and check things out!! I hope you do the same.
ReplyDeleteGlad your back you have been missed ,what stunning cards from Christine X
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, elegant cards from Christine x
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Grandson, even though it is knackering Lol
