A Card......Happy dance, happy dance!!!

Morning all,
Wasn't it lovely to see two fabulous ladies win some Candy yesterday.  I wish I had lots of money to do a Candy give away every week, it's such fun.   Thank you all for the lovely comments again, you are so kind.  With Candy in mind, my next giveaway will have a little challenge attached.  More info tomorrow.  Please, please try and join in,  I need something good to keep my mind busy and you can all help (trying a bit of bribery now.......naughty me. LOL!!)  I'll try to make it fun I promise.

Ok, I have done it at last, I have made a card.  It is rather simple sorry, but at least I have started cardmaking again. I really was beginning to wonder if my mojo had taken a downward spiral but I think I have kicked it into touch, just about.  [Oooooo, can't you tell I'm a Welsh girl, rugby terms are inbuilt I think :) ]

I haven't put a sentiment on the card for two reasons: one I could not make up my mind which way up to have the card, as I think it looks good both ways (which way do you like it?) and two because I couldn't decide what to have on it anyway.  So I thought I'd wait until I need it and then I could make a more informed decision as I would know the occasion I wanted to use it for.

Do you notice anything you may have seen recently?..............Yes, that's right,  I used the white flower and golden ornate disc from the lovely fimo pieces that Linda W. sent to me, didn't they go well with the overall colour scheme (and no I didn't plan it that way, they were chosen after).  The only adjustment I made to Linda's fabulous designs was to add a touch of pink to the end of the petals of the flower (hope you don't mind Linda).
Here's a side view to show you a little more of the dimension.

Well that's it for today, but before I go I wonder if I may draw your attention to a new blog that one of our own, Sue (planetsusie) has recently started:-  http://susiesplanet.blogspot.co.uk.  Yesterday she gave us a little view of her 'minature world' and it is so cute I thought you may be interested to see it; I know she would love to have your opinions if you can spare a minute or two to pop over.

Ok, I am off to get some sleep as it's 7.42am and I am getting bleery eyed now (with that in mind, please excuse any daft mistakes).   Have a good day all.  I just hope it's nicer where you are, as in Torfaen, S.Wales, UK we are having horrid rain AGAIN!!!
Bye for now.    Linda xx

  1. I think we all have those times when our mojo takes itself off Linda. I think we just have to wait it out and then back it comes on its own. Anyway, I'm glad yours made its appearance again as this card is lovely and Linda's pieces look fabulous. I would prefer the ribbon at the side but it certainly looks equally good the other way. Have a good rest Linda. Take care. Love from Christine xx

  3. Hi Linda,

I am so glad you got your mojo back, I have days like that where I just can't bring myself to make anything. Your card is fab I love the colours you have used they are so cheery. I think I like the card better with the ribbon at the side although at the bottom is nice too. Anyway enjoy your weekend.

  4. Morning Linda - love your card, I think the backing paper really makes the diecuts stand out. Think I prefer the ribbon at the side (I've realised most of mine are on the side!!) and the fimo pieces are absolutely brilliant in situ - oooer hark at me!
I think this is a beautiful design and I'm glad your mojo is back Linda.

Just want to thank you for mentioning my blog - you are such a treasure, I am still finding my way around blogland but I am really enjoying myself.

Lots of big hugs to you

  5. Hi Linda,
and good morning. I too am glad you've got your mojo back. Now to your card it's really lovely, the paper you've used is so bright and vibrant. I love the circular die you have used too. Now may I ask a question of our lovely blog friends. Has anyone bought a digi image from The scrapbook Society which is on your right hand side of your blog. I am having great trouble getting my images I have paid for from them. have a great crafty day everyone.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  6. Hello Linda.
Your card is gorgeous, I love the design, the wonderful colours and all the added embellishments. Wow! That's great that you can have the card either way round, it reminds me of those funny faces that can be turned upside down!! Good idea not to add the sentiment until you need it, I seem to be doing that a lot lately.

I hope you have a fab weekend and manage to catch up with some sleep
    Hugs Sue

  7. Hi Linda

It's good to hear that you are getting your mojo back.
Very pretty card, but unlike some of the other comments, I much prefer the the ribbon at the bottom-for me it seems to balance the card perfectly.

Take care and enjoy your weekend

  14. Nice see you back crafting again! I absolutely love how you've done the ribbon and the butterfly looks wonderful inside the frame you've created. I think it looks great both ways, but I'd probably vote for the ribbon to be on the bottom:)

  15. Hi Linda, sorry I didn't get to comment yesterday but we had a rather distressing day as our dear 84 year old friend sadly passed away. He had been admitted to hospital two days earlier and had put my husband as next of kin so we got the call early morning and went to be with him. He had no family so I am pleased we could be there for him and he wasn't alone. Thankfully he slipped away peacefully.

Your card is stunning and like you I just love butterflies and whichever way up you put it either is just beautiful. Love the pink paper and your embellishments from Linda W fit perfectly with your design. So pleased you are again enjoying your crafting, it is so therapeutic. I too do cards (as you know) without sentiments on as like you said they can be used for whatever occasion at a later date.

Love & hugs Christine H xx

    1. Oh Christine, I am so sorry to hear this news, but what a wonderful thing you have done. I only wish there were more caring people like you in the world, maybe we could get to 'community' spirit if there were.
I know he may not have been family but the loss of friends can be as traumatic. I am thinking of you and I'm here if you want to chat.
      Take care Linda x

  16. Love the card Linda, I often leave them without sentiments, until the occasion arises for me to use them. I love your ribbon, think the card works so well either way up. I've coloured the fimo pieces myself at time...to fit better with the scheme I'm using, the flower looks so pretty with it's pink edging. Hugs lin
