A dogs life

(If you are looking for todays card, please scroll down to last post)

The longstanding campaign aims to raise awareness of the consequences of treating dogs as gifts or toys. Every year hundreds of thousands of children plead for the latest fad or top toy on the market, only to discard them a few weeks after Christmas when the novelty wears off. Unfortunately, the same perception is also apparent with dogs. We are continually seeking to change this.
"A dog is for life, not just for Christmas".

  3. Hi Linda,
I agree with this comment. I had dogs in my earlier years, but no longer have one as I decided not to replace her when she passed away because of other commitments. My son loves his dogs he has 2 and gets up at 4am in the morning to walk them before work and also walks them in the evening. This to me is real dedication and what a dog needs. My youngest son and his family have a rescue dog.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  4. Hi Linda - we have always had cats but I still agree with the sentiment whole-heartedly. The same happens to them but they are a little more independent. My brother used to show his dogs at Crufts, he had Doberman and they were gorgeous (he had to take a torch with him on dark mornings because one of them was frightened of the dark - bit of a wuss!) He was also a huge supporter of Doberman Rescue. I will be putting this onto my blog Linda - when I have found out how to do it.

    Hugs to you
