Final showcase for the week

Welcome back all,
First I want to say thank you so much for showing your support for Christine (Hussey).  I know I have appreciated your visits to my blog but I am certain that Christine has appreciated your comments much more.  You have been so kind leaving her wonderful comments and I think she would want me to say a BIG thank you from her also.

For all the non-bloggers out there
Don't forget I am willing to show the work of any non-bloggers as long as you email me the pictures and give me permission to crop them to fit if I need to.

Anyway, today is the last day for showcasing this week, so without further ado, her is the third and final card of this showcase.  I hope you like it and can, again, pass on your opinions and support.

How adorable is this?!
I love that the cutout on the card and the diecut motif match perfectly.  So effective and so professional.   Anyone would think they had been cut using matching dies...... hey!, now that's an idea for Spellbinders.   Wouldn't it be great if we could cut out the edges of our card base to match the motif dies we already owned.  Maybe they should start making edgeabilities in coordinating styles? Ummmm........ anyway, I digress, back to the card.

Isn't this decoupage just lovely.  A very pretty image, so cheerful and fun too;  and those little dogs are so darn cute.
I don't know about you but I love decoupage whether it be diecut or my favourite, fussy cutting.  I have been known to sit for ages in front of the TV cutting out, putting the bits into ziplock bags or the clear card bags until I need them.  I even make some up with silicon glue ahead of time and bag them up ready to be used at short notice.  This is so handy when you want something pretty and well finished but only have a short time to complete the whole card.
So what do you think, is this the prettiest of the three cards Christine made, or did you prefer that cute and very smug  (oh, I'm only teasing) little pony of yesterday...... or maybe you are still drawn to the sweet angelic face of the girl on the Thirteenth Birthday card?    I think every card has its merits; that smug pony is still making me giggle, the angelic girl in pink is just dreamy and the adorable puppies trailing adoringly after the girl with the ribbons are making me oooh and aaaahh like a new mum with her baby.  So could I choose a favourite?  Well actually Yes!........... but I'm not telling you. LOL!!!  You should by now have guessed which it is.
Well, that's it for another day.  I am hoping to have a card and some crochet for you tomorrow, but it all depends on how the dog sitting goes.  My daughter is off to Mardi Gras and  I am having her two rather large, but adorable dogs for the day (and probably the night).
Whatever you are up to I hope you find time to do a little crafting or at least find time to have a bit of 'ME' time.  Take care all.
Regards Linda xx

  1. Hi Linda,
thank you for showing Christine's lovely work. It was very lovely to see it all.
Now to today's card.I'm blown away with the cut out detail, how wonderful is that, and that image is so cute and very wonderfully done too. I still can't decide which one I like the best, so as I said yesterday. I love them all equally. Everyone has that sooooo cute factor.
Congratulations Christine on such beautiful cards.
Have a great crafty day everyone.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  2. That cutout detail is fabulous and matches the lattice die perfectly!! I too love decoupage, although I seem to have runs of things - do something for a while then switch to something else, then switch again. These three cards are al beautiful Christine and all so different in style that it is almost impossible to choose. If somebody really twisted my arm up my back then I would probably go for number one - romantic and dreamy almost.

Linda you are a fabulous friend for making a showcase spot on your blog!!

Have a great weekend everybody. Love from Christine x

  3. Good morning Linda and all you lovely talented crafting ladies. I am so grateful to you Linda for showcasing my cards and cannot thank you enough for allowing me do this on your blog, in a way it's like having my own little blog but without all the hard work, bless you! The comments, good or bad, give me more encouragement and really boosts my confidence. I was uncertain as to how this one would be received as I was unsure about it myself but so far so good. By the way, the card with the cut outs is a bought one and if I remember rightly they were part of the Fancy Folds and Diamonds pack. Well had better go and get hubby some breakfast but will again say and end with A BIG, BIG THANK YOU. Have a wonderful day and weekend everyone, love Christine H xx
